CapsKiller is an application which installs a keyboard mapping that deactivates the 'caps lock' key. This morning, I was finally fed up with the #$%^& 'caps lock' key, so I wrote this application.
Installation:
This application is most useful when placed in the Startup Items folder of a Macintosh PowerBook. I would also recommend removing the Caps Lock extension from the Extensions folder.
Removal:
CapsKiller can be permanently removed by taking it out of the Startup Items folder. It can also be temporarily deactivated by choosing a standard keyboard mapping with the 'Keyboard' control panel.
Although this program is a bit of a hack, it has been tested under System 7 on a Powerbook 140, and a Mac Classic. I imagine that it should work on any Mac running system six or later. Please let me know of any problems you find.
